Thoughts on Boss being wrong, then mad at you for not telling them they were wrong?
Post Body

I've never had this happen before and love to hear thoughts

My super visor sent me a list of 126 names of random CEO's and execs to basically call and solicit interviews for a small, very niche podcast. 80% of the names and numbers were incorrect. I had 2 days to secure 2 interviews.

I had to find new numbers, add them to the original list and then find the right people, C-suite level only, to reach out to to then pitch.

After not securing any guarantees in 48 hours and leaving approx 105 voicemails (East Coast Blizzard didn't help), I let him know where we stand.

72 hours after receiving the assignment, I'm reprimanded for not telling THEM that the list of numbers THEY sent me was wrong and to "analytically" think of a way to overcome the storm issues.

I'm so confused.

I brought solutions and not complaints; he wanted complaints, not solutions?
