It’s so embarrassing to see. surely if you’re protesting you want the world to see regardless of who’s watching?
You can’t turn up at a protest and expect the right to not be filmed for taking part. The audacity then to actually forcefully prevent someone from filming aswell
You’re completely misunderstanding my point and the point of the recording. No one is being identified, the protest is being recorded WHICH BRINGS PUBLICITY TO THE PROTEST. If you don’t want publicity to the protest then don’t have one in the first place??? And I’m using HK as an example because it’s arrestable to protest against China…
You don’t need to touch someone to amount to assault, preventing them from going about normal actions typically amounts to some form of assault. If I was to stand in front of you and purposefully block your view, especially when you moved out of the way, would often be assault. I’m not from the USA so I don’t know your specific state laws but where I’m from this is 100% assault as well as false inprisonment (impeding someone from their normal actions through force or threat of force)
My original comment is clearly rhetorical, but also you can’t sit on the fence while making points that justify the behaviours then get offended when I point out that you’re sticking up for them.
They are wearing masks…. They have the right to not show their faces. They don’t have the right to prevent filming. In fact the individual specifically said ‘I won’t film you if you don’t want it’. If you want to defend morons go for it

Doesn’t matter what they are protesting. If it’s a lawful protest and they aren’t committing crimes then there’s nothing to be concerned about. The police aren’t going to hunt them down for lawful protesting… get a grip. They aren’t living in HK
