It can be a person you know, it can be footsteps, it can be anything...

Then when you go check the source of the noise, there's nobody there.

This is starting to happen to me all the time, even on a daily basis.

Everything I hear, I now question if there's really a person doing it or not.

Here's another scenario...

You constantly hear whistling outside your door, like someone calling for a dog.

This goes on for hours. Then you get an Uber.

The Uber driver begins whistling for a dog in the same way.

How do other people know to behave in a way that is congruent with your hallucination?

Almost like the hallucination passes on the torch to a human being,

who then continues the narrative...
