A friendly reminder that idolizing psychedelics and demonizing other drugs is not making anything better. If you say:
LSD shrooms cannabis good. Every other drug bad
You're not being open-minded. You're being just as bad as the people who say:
Alcohol good and LSD bad
There's only one way we can make a difference in changing how Western society views drugs. That isn't by simply changing which drugs we see as good, and which ones we see as bad. What we need to do is accept that "good" drugs and "bad" drugs don't exist. Drugs are drugs, and all drugs have positive and negative effects. The person makes the drug.
Psychedelics can be powerful tools for healing and improving mental health. But too many people in this community completely ignore that psychedelics can bear equally negative effects, and carelessly encouraging psychedelic use is no better than carelessly encouraging any drug's use.
TL;DR: There are no "good" drugs or "bad" drugs. Any drug can be good, and any drug can be bad. The only way we can change our society is if we let go of the black and white mentality concerning drugs and encourage open-mindedness and harm reduction.
Every drug has the potential to be safe and dangerous.
It's to do with factors such as the dose, the setting, how often you use said substance, what sort of support you seek before and after, etc.
I believe any drug at all can be used safely or dangerously depending on the circumstances.

Interesting that cannabis is schedule 1 is that in the US? In the uk we have classes which are determined by the likeliness for the substance to be abused and it's medical use. Cannabis is class B here because it's likely to be abused but they've accepted it has medicinal benifits here. Cocaine is class A though because it's not used for medicinal reasons anymore even if it originally was. Of course psychedelics are also class A since they haven't accepted their medicinal benifits yet
