Long story short I’m an addict for music since I can walk, even as a small child I’d steal cassettes from my parents to explore music.
It’s always been a part of my life, but over the past year I’ve gotten much deeper into it. At some point I’ve hit a wall when it comes to stimulation, so I learned how to mix and started cutting together tracks, speeding them up a lot to create something that can still be of great stimulation to me.
What I’ve discovered through my journey is that music has more powerful psychoactive effects than drugs on me.
Ive fallen asleep 15 minutes after snorting amphetamines after a night out, but give me stimulating music and I can’t get tired.
Even after an extended period of regular amphetamine use I’d cold turkey and just mix, constant stream of music.
The result? I barely slept, the days were blending together to this euphoric bliss while my thoughts were incredibly clear and focused. I had no issues being motivated, everything required less effort than if I’d use amphetamines.
I also have a lot of experience with low dose dmt, most of those experiences were accompanied by music because honestly, I can understand the dislike for low doses if people don’t play some stimulating music while going in.
It’s like a drug and I even gave it a name by now. I just need a few hours of the right music and it gives me confidence, motivation, mindfulness and a clear mind.
A few hours too much and I go somewhat manic, I start fidgeting and tweaking due to excess energy, this actually gets better if I do stimulants.
I don’t want to specify the genres I’ve gotten into right away because I’m more interested in your experience with music and it’s stimulating and even psychoactive effects rather than discussing genres.
How’s this even possible? I mean yes, when I mix I create overly intense and saturated music that causes distress in many, but is this achievable with less saturated music as well?
Is it a thing of taste or am I slowly discovering the right type of auditory stimulation to cause these effects?
