EDIT:
The paper that links to the source doesn't say anything convincing to me about MAL causing loss of serotonergic neurons. At least not in a way that warrants the current way its worded in the Wiki article.

I’ve also quickly glanced over the Wikipedia page of DOI and haven’t seen much changes made in past 2 years. Meanwhile according to Google Scholar over 300 papers have been published in 2023 and 2024 alone that mention DOI.
Seems like the page could use a proper read and update with new info that has since come out.
EDIT: I linked to wrong reference when posting, fixed it now.
