DMT breakthrough advice

My good buddy SWIM recently acquired a small amount of DMT, 0.1g.
I've read that common doses start at 20mg.
SWIM has experience with Ayahuasca and DMT in a vape but this will be the first time using crystal DMT in a pipe with the intention of breaking through.
SWIM asked me, to ask you all, what dose he should try first, as he wants to be sure to break through.
