Curious how many people in the psychedelic community also meditate?

Hi guys,
I was wondering, do a lot of people in the psychedelics space also practice meditation?
If not, then why do they do psychedelics?
I have only ever micro-dosed, but I sort of view psychedelics as a tool to assist a long term meditation practice. With the end goal being enlightenment / or increase your level of consciousness as much as you can in this lifetime.
