Two types of visuals: increasing detail vs reducing detail
Post Body

When I do shrooms, lsd, Al-lad it’s like contrast is enhanced, details become more visual or new detail is added, an overlay of visuals kinda like a sunscreen I’m looking through, forest ground looking insanely detailed and is moving, things like light stains become more apparent etc.

When I do dmt detail is removed, stains disappear completely, everything becomes smooth and has perfect edges, it’s like all air is removed and I can see everything perfectly clear, colors hit intensely, geometric things become mesmerizing, the forest ground will turn into flat faces with no contrast at all, at a certain dosage everything starts looking like a 2000s animation with full bright lighting and no shadows or textures.

I’ve gotten there by combining Al-lad and mushrooms but no other combination or psychedelic other than dmt seems to does this.

DPT comes close, but it also adds movement and dancing shapes to corners and edges. It’s more comparable to shrooms.

Is there any research on why these types of visuals differ so much from each other? They feel like exactly opposites! Also, why did that one combo I stumbled upon consistently give these unique visuals that are almost a perfect recreation of dmt visuals? At the time of trying that combo I had only very few dmt experiences and no idea how consistent the visuals are.

I’m asking this because to me dmt visuals are incredibly pretty, while regular visuals have lost their charm due to falling in love with dmt.
