After falling in love with DMT I wanted to know what else the basic tryptamines have to offer, especially wanted to know if anything comes close to DMT since it’s further away from regular psychedelics than I’d have ever imagined.
After sitting on it for a month or two being a bit scared due to the reports you read online I went for my first session with a low dose. Seeing how I react to it and how long it lasts.
Well, besides a heavy couch lock which I don’t enjoy much it’s quite a worthwhile substance to experience.
It feels like being left alone on dmt, with shroom like visuals and the most unique impact on how everything sounds, including music.
Now, I’ve listened to music extensively on around 15 different psychedelics but the effects of DPT surprised me.
Everything sounds a bit muted and pitched down, while at the same time you pick up every detail of the song.
I listen to a lot of hitech, which can get overly complex. On some substances it becomes a flowing mess of sounds, on others the beat is pronounced heavily, but on DPT it becomes almost overwhelming because you can follow every sound and noise simultaneously.
It’s like being blasted with so much detail and complexity that I’ve ended up sitting still for half an hour, not even realizing how much the music is taking over my awareness.
After a break I dosed again, much higher. On the peak I did dmt, which at first I thought was a mistake. The peak alone had me quite uncomfortable, strong body load, weird sensations of pressure all around.
Adding the dmt ramped up intensity more than anticipated and my room started folding apart and being invaded by what looked like fragments of a star gate (from the series).
I panicked a little and closed my eyes, entered a fractal like cave where I was literally bouncing around, which felt very uncomfortable. I’d just sit through it and observe the visuals and discomfort until suddenly being released into the most comfortable trip I’ve ever had.
The effects I’ve described about music intensified a lot. But I really a wanted to know if it always becomes uncomfortable on dmt.
Turns out, once you’re past the discomfort it won’t come back, so I vaped dmt, listened to hitech and psycore and danced like a madman for an hour or two.
Going out of it I felt as wasted as I do after 10 hours of raving and tripping hard, it feels quite taxing on the mind and body. Still felt out of it the next day but continued vaping a little dmt which removed all the negative effects and put me into an extremely blissful state.
Alone the ease of use by vaping makes this substance quite amazing, but it’s unique effects while being somewhat similar to dmt makes it quite amazing.
I’m gonna continue using it as a basis for dmt (= easier entry into dmt space, lower required dosage and extended duration are my goals).
Not sure if I will ever do a high dose on this due to its unpredictability, but low-medium doses are already very interesting.
