In order to love, you have to have *been* loved, and know what love is.
Post Body

If a child doesn’t experience love then how can he ever know what love is and so how can he love another person?

A child is totally dependent on those around him to help him make sense of the external world and his own internal world.

To make sense of his internal world he needs to feel safe. That safety is the love he feels from his parents. He will grow into a well balanced adult who, in turn, will make his own children feel safe through the love he feels for them.

If he doesn’t feel safe when making sense of his internal world then he is forever lost. An unmoored ship. Having an unsettled relationship with his inner world, and probably trying to shut it out all together.

He will be drawn to false idols who offer what seems like love but is really only selfishness.

Love is the answer. Without love, we are all lost.
