Psychotic trip with long lasting effects. Can anyone help?
Post Body

A few months ago me and my girlfriend decided to take a high dose of LSD and 2CB together. We had tripped together before but we didn’t take anywhere near as much. I took 10 tabs and 3 2cb and my girlfriend took 5 tabs and 2 2cb. We went out for a date first and we dropped at roughly 8pm. At 3am, after the peak of the trip, we decided to go on a walk and smoke a spliff. She was already acting sort of strange being a bit more energetic/chaotic than usual, but I thought it was just the trip. We left the house and started smoking as we walked through my town. At some point I decided to put the spliff out and save it for later. We ended up playfully running through then streets. Then she lets out a cathartic scream whilst running and said something like I needed this. I start to get a sense things are off at this point and I suggest heading back to mine. It on the way back she starts acting a lot more strange suggesting we have sex out in the street, i ask her if she is ok and she says no because of how she had been abused most of her life. At this point her speech started to become very fast and uninterrupted and kept saying stuff like “funsies” and “vibesies”. She was being very loud and people in the houses nearby can probably hear her. It seemed like she had completely lost touch with reality. I tried to sit her down and calm her down just by talking to her. But nothing was working and she was thrashing about on the floor. She kept talking about things that i think happened in her past. After a while i decided to bring her back inside while i figured out what to do. When we got back she is still talking nonsense non stop and it doesn’t even seem she knew where she was. She ended up trying to climb into the kitchen sink and ended up breaking a plate that was in there in the process and she ends up cutting herself. Then she started saying “wheres my baby? wheres my baby?”At this point i was very scared and thought my girlfriend was in some kind of drug induced episode so I ended up calling the paramedic’s to try and give her the help she needed. They ended up taking her to a hospital and giving her lots of antipsychotics. They released her from hospital for a few days after and she told me that when the paramedics where at my house she thought that she had had her baby in the ambulance. This experience was very traumatic for the both of us and I tried to convince her to not tale psychedelics again at least for a while. She did not want to listen to me and was convinced it was just because of the fact it was such a high dose. A few months pass and we end up going to a halloween rave together as i brought her to one before and she really enjoyed it. She convinces me to let her take some acid and 2cb along with her MD as it it what I usually take. I hesitantly agree but only to one of each. After we finished the rave we head back to the hotel we were staying in and we go out for a spliff. We head back upstairs and when we get back to the room I mention how the spliff has intensified the trip. She then looks at me with eyes really wide open and says “i’ve missed us on acid together”, this gives me a really bad feeling but I remain calm until I notice that she is getting more energetic like last time, i ask her if everything is ok because she was acting sort of like last time, she said that it isn’t like last time. Then i see her face go blank like her brain has gone to another place. She quickly comes back to and we both realise that it is happening again so I quickly try and reassure her and make her feel relaxed and ok, i suggest we just cuddle in bed. This sort of works as she kept drifting off to that place but i keep telling her its ok and that she is here with me and then she keeps repeating it. Every few minutes she would lift her head up from my chest and look in somewhere in the room and look scared and tap my chest and say no no, but then she comes to and says “its ok im here with you” and it seems to calm her down. We ride out the trip until it has worn off. After that happened again she realised that she shouldn’t be taking psychedelics. But now it seems her brain has been damaged long term as she occasionally drifts off to this place while sober and it is very scary for her and for me. She quite a mentally damaged person from her past traumas with her family and ex-boyfriend. She also has borderline personality disorder. Is there anyone here who has known someone who has experienced something similar or experienced this themselves first hand? If so how do you deal with it, does it heal over time? I know she should probably seek professional help but what would we even say? Any help or input would be greatly appreciated.
