Working with an adorable, sweet, way-too-insightful adopted 7 y/o F with a massive h/o familial sexual abuse. She says she only trusts me, her (adopted) mother and her lawyer, who has been steadfast in advocating for her during the foster to adoption process. She hates her bio mother (and anyone who pushes reconciliation on her) and is very upfront about (a) what happened to her and (b) what she's doing/what she wants to do to re-enact it. We've gotten her urges to masturbate during school or inappropriately touch a peer under better control, but I just can't kick the coprophagia. She's fine at home because mom has it on lock, but at school? She's smart, and great at manipulation - she tells teachers/staff/nursing what they want to hear, gets free time and goes for it. I've tried a couple of different meds - haldol being the latest one which has some research behind it - but it (only sometimes?) makes her tired in school. Any ideas, please oh please?
