Digital monitoring of bipolar disorder
Post Body

Hello!

I'm a fifth year psychiatry resident from Poland. Recently I decided to participate in a conference about new approaches in psychiatry ("Psychiatry can be different"). I'm preparing a presentation about digital markers in bipolar disorders e.g. through smartphone apps and smartwatches. There's like a thousand different apps for smartphones for self-reporting of symptoms, but most of them aren't really created or reviewed by professionals. From literature I found 3 that are: Danish Monsenso (formerly MONARCA), Spanish SIMPLe, and American BiAffect. I'm wondering if any of you know of any other useful apps I could look into. Perhaps some of you actually use those. Also so far I didn't find much on use of smartwatches (which honestly sounds great; my AppleWatch is monitoring my heart rate and movement all the time - exactly the markers one would find useful in monitoring affective episodes).
