Metformin and SGLT2-inhibitors for AP induced weight gain

Do any of you routinely prescribe either of the above for antipsychotic induced weight gain/metabolic syndrome?
There seems to be evidence for it but I am not clear if one should wait until the patient develops weight gain or if they can be used prophylactically.
I very rarely see either used in practice.
