Microdosing to help with opioid withdrawal

Hey everyone, asking for a friend but a friend of mine is trying to get sober from opioids. They are currently experiencing severe withdrawal. Would microdosing mushrooms or even a full trip help with withdrawal. Or could it make symptoms worse? Also any advice to help would be greatly appreciated. When I got clean of benzos and opioids years ago I just locked myself away and suffered. But yeah, look forward to the responses 😁
