Disclaimer: This is just a "need to get this out" post, if you are tripping right now, there are probably more interesting posts
tl;dr: please take care and watch out for euch other. Feel like some people idolize psychedelics too much and take risks too lightly.
I don't know, wether this is an actually Shift in the posts landing on this sub, or if its because more and more people are drawn to psychedelics as a tool for enlightenment/healing.
Maybe my view on this is also just scewed by the posts that grab my attention the most, and the contact i've been having with some psychedelics users in my day to day life.
Lately i Keep reading posts on here where people ask, wether psychedelics can "help them with Problem X", or something along the lines of "I know mixing these might be super problematic/ i got disorder-Y and i know psychedelics Arena shit here, but should i try them anyways",
and as a healthcare-worker actually interacting with teens and young adults to manage active psychosis, depression and different forms of unstable personality disorders, i really need to atleast vent it once:
Psychedelics aren't your cure for everything, they aren't gonna change your life 180°, show you the "one truth", or your path to success. They are great substances, to remind yourself how much of your reality really just is perception, and to force you overthink your PoV. And yes, in some trials the have shown gratis Potential to help approach Trauma and depression. But you at your Home alone, Tripping on a macrodose for the 4th time in 1,5 months is still just substance abuse if it's Not actively making you Change your behaviour.
(And Please let me be clean, this is NOT a "psschedelics make you crazy" statement, for me personally the helped a lot, and i know Tons of people that habe the same experience, but i know just as many people, just abusing psychedelics as another way, to not "work their way through a problem", but rather just get high and then act like they levitate above their problems.)
Guess what im saying is: take care, you can always try more, later, at a better place in your life, its a lot harder to repair damage you Do haphazardly.
