Are my tabs bad?

I bought some tabs in November and had a great trip when I took the few of the little I bought. I took 3 Gel tabs nearly 6 hours ago and they don’t seem nearly as intense as last time I took the same amount.
Can Gel tabs be stored incorrectly?? Or do they lose potency with age or something?? I usually wrap my left overs in either wax paper or foil and then drop at a later time.
Last time I tripped was 2 weeks before Christmas. So had a decent breake in trips
