Good resource on the Haight-Ashbury scene?

I'm well versed in the scientific bases of psychedelics but I find myself alienated at parties because it's hard to translate neuroscience into something everyone can relate to.

I'm vaguely familiar with what went on in Haight-Ashbury but I would like to be well informed because I find it a fascinating cultural phenomenon. I think a lot happened that would be cool to hear/talk about with people who have a mild interest.

Anyone have good books or documentaries or online resources to suggest?
