Hoping this is fine for me to post here.

This was probably summer of last year but I’ve wondered about it a lot.

I took shrooms and near the end of the peak with visuals still being quite strong I decided to have a drink although I wasn’t sure what would happen (Ik I should’ve read about it first for safety and harm reduction).

The shroom visuals went away almost right after the drink. I’ve taken shrooms and also acid quite a lot by themselves and around this point in a trip the visuals would’ve still gone on for a couple more hours still very noticeably

Is this normal? Alcohol weakening or getting rid of visuals on psychedelics.

I just assumed a drink or two would make me feel a bit more chilled out on top of the visuals. But it doesn’t seem worth it to me if the visuals are just gone. Although I don’t combine substances like this too often regardless anyway

I’ve had a very small amount of thc on LSD and that enhanced the trip bc the only thing that I’ve felt is missing from LSD or shrooms is a bit of a high. Alcohol tho just got rid of the visuals but thc has never done anything to them and I got to enjoy the trip with a little bit of a high which decreases anxiety during the come up on psychedelics for me

(Also if any of this is really unsafe please let me know so I don’t do it in the future)

TLDR - why did my visuals on shrooms stop after one drink of alcohol?
