Post Body

I recently had a very bad flare up. I had hives all up and down my legs. My knees were red, hot, inflamed and I couldn’t put any weight on my feet/knees/ankles. Even sitting down I couldn’t handle the pressure on my feet. My rheumatologist did some more testing. She told me she ran a RF and CCP antibody test. Looks like I have RA too. Three autoimmune diseases. THREE. I am on simponi aria infusions… they aren’t working anymore. She gave me a shot of prednisone… which we had no choice. I’m also bi polar so that induced mania. I almost went to a psych hospital… and she upped my methotrexate over 100% more. I just feel so sick. My inflammation went down. I’ve lost 25lbs in less than 2 weeks. All the water weight and inflammation has dissipated I guess… can’t imagine carrying around that much in me. 😭 I miss running. I miss working 40 hours. I miss hiking. I am cleared up now but I am physically ill and still SO EXHAUSTED! My daughter did a Mother’s Day gift at school. She’s in 1st grade. She wrote about how sad I am. I hate that this is the mother my children are seeing. I have finally applied for disability. I’m only 35. My poor 70 yo mother is helping me. I should be taking care of her. She told me my knees look worse than hers… I am on a pity party. I didn’t imagine this would be my life. But there is one positive thing, insurance approved cosyntx. I was hoping that I could get off of this methotrexate but now with the RA diagnosis I don’t know if it will happen.
