Humira and switching to a "BioSimilar". Anyone have to do this yet?
Post Body

I was warned by my Rheum that this was coming and it's here. My specialty pharmacy, Optum Rx, is going to force a much cheaper (for them) BioSimilar drug on to me to replace Humira.

Has anyone else had to do this yet? If so, which product? (there's now 8, soon to be 9). Did you do as well on it as with Humira? Is the pen injector still the same quality? Virtually pain free? Side effects?

How did the cost change for you? With the copay assist offerered by the Humira maker Abbvie, my cost is miniscule per refill. I know it will depend on my plan, but I'm assuming that the BioSimilar will still be a top tier drug, but without the copay assistance.

Curious to know anyone's experience switching from Humira to a BioSimilar.

Thanks!
