Post Body

17 years with PsA, on Humira with good control and an active lifestyle. Until this point, my flares have only affected joints on the left side of my body, this is the first for the right side. About a week ago my knee started swelling. Stopped in to see the rheum but the doc didn't think there was enough fluid to aspirate, so just a cortisone injection. Conditioned worsened and moved to the back of the knee. Swelling continued. Two days later started on pred taper. Same day had an ultrasound to ensure no DVT, Results showed no veinous clots but collection of fluid in bursa resulted in "Baker's Cyst", that the Dr thinks ruptured, emptying fluid into my calf, down to my ankle. Knee is no longer main issue, now it's the calf. At times, it's even difficult to limp on it. Quite painful.

Has anyone else been through this? If so, give me a run down of your course of treatment and the timeline. Also, if it's just a matter of waiting for the Pred to do it's job and reducing the inflammation, and in turn stops sending fluid into my calf, I'm good with that too.

Love to hear your experience. Thank you!
