Feeling frustrated that my dermatologist cannot adequately diagnose what’s happening around my ears, particularly one ear. Curious for anyone who has dealt with ear psoriasis, was it mistakenly diagnosed as contact dermatitis or seborrheic dermatitis?
Psoriasis runs in my mom’s side of the family, she gets it on her legs, one of her brothers gets it on arms. I have no skin issues on any other part of my body nor do I have seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp, but the dermatologist is now saying that we should treat it as such even though it’s an atypical presentation. I’ve noticed in clinical photographs that psoriasis that shows up on the scalp and around the ears looks similar to what I have and I’m wondering about other peoples experience.
