I've never used Proxmox but I this seems to be what I need.
I need make sure my family’s data is intact and accessible through Plex and Nextcloud (feel free to suggest better solutions).
We are scattered all over the world and always on the move.
I want to deploy local nodes to my parent's house, myself, and my grandparent's place. These nodes would sync with the master node and provide offsite backup. The master node would be co-located in a data center to provide the bandwidth and speed of syncing these nodes.
From what little I have researched I am thinking of deploying Proxmox Backup in the data center and then connecting the local nodes to the backup server.
I think the above would work but, since I am paying so much for deploying it in a data center I want to get my money’s worth :)
I want to run a web server and also stream content from the data center while I am on the move as it will have much higher speeds comapred to my 10 mbps upload at home.
It seems that Proxmox is a dedicated backup solution. I had an idea to run the backup inside Proxmox VE?
Any ideas with this type of setup, or alternatives?
