Can't Boot Proxmox 8 with Kernel 6.x on Supermicro X10SL7-F
Post Body

SOLVED: See my last post for reference.

My hardware is a Supermicro X10SL7-F with a intel Xeon CPU, with 32GB ECC, no GPU only IPMI, 2 x dual WAN NIC cards, 4 X 3TB HD's plus 2 SSD's.

Attempting to migrate from Esxi 8 to Proxmox and having some odd luck.

As the title suggests I am unable to boot Proxmox installer or even upgrading from 7.x, as soon as I update to Proxmox 8 from Promox 7.x via apt-get which includes the newer kernel 6.x, I am unable to boot and it halts on "init ram".

I feel like I have tried every suggestion that's been posted out there: "nomodet", echo "simplefb" >> /etc/initramfs-tools/modules update-initramfs -u -k 6.5.11-4-pve, etc etc...

I have noticed that I can still boot Promox 8 but with the older 5.x kernel, so I am wondering if anyone has any further suggestions?

To summarize: Proxmox 7.x install boot also works fine on this hardware, and the issue seems to be unique to Proxmox 8/Debian12.
