My story and current situation
Post Body

About 15 years ago, I had my first bout with prostatitis. I was in my early 20's and started experiencing some pain in my groin...it became a daily occurrence over a period of several weeks (6-8) The pain expanded to my hips and lower abdomen, and eventually my perineum and testicles. I was gobbling Ibuprofen like it was candy. Went to the doctor, and of course I was terrified I had an STD. Tested negative and he indicated it was likely my prostate and referred me to a urologist. By the time my urology appointment came around, I was experiencing burning when urinating and discharge. Urologist put me on Cipro for several weeks, which cleared up the burning/discharge, but not the ongoing aching. I did a ton of research on prostatitis and started doing stretches, which seemed to help a little. After multiple courses of Cipro, my doc decided to have me try Flomax, even though I was not having any issues peeing. The Flomax cleared up the pain within a few days. It was like a miracle.

Since then, I've only had a few flare-ups that lasted a day or two.

Until recently. A girl I know gave me unprotected oral sex. That night, I was freaking out about catching something from her and started having irritation in my urethra. I know an STD can't show symptoms that quickly, so I believe it was all in my head. 2 weeks later, I saw her again...same thing. So 2 days after that, I went and got an STD test. Tested negative for HIV, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, and Trich.

However, my symptoms have gotten worse. I have aching in my groin, testicles, lower back, thighs, and lower abdomen. I've had chills and sweating, but no fever. Hardly any appetite, and Ive been sleeping a LOT. No issues urinating and no burning or discharge.

I'm pretty confident this is not an STD and was probably brought on by me stressing about it. I have a Dr appointment on Thursday and I had a urinalysis done yesterday. Its showed no WBC or Leukocytes, but it did say bacteria was "few". I guess we will see. But I am definitely feeling some serious anxiety.
