BPH or Prostatitis? How to tell. What steps should I take next.
Post Body

Dear all - I’m a 35M (fit and healthy / non drinker / veggie) who over the past five years has had the sensation to urinate come and go. On average once a year for a few weeks. I thought this was anxiety, however, during a visit to the urologist yesterday I was told I have an enlarged prostate. I was given a plant based suppository to take. Ultrasound / urine was all clear. I don’t have any pain or sexual issues, but a feeling of fullness in my rectum if that makes sense.

Since this has come and gone over the past few years I’m lead to believe it’s prostatitis rather than a gradual enlargement. Does anyone have any advice on what steps I should take next. The urge to pee is definitely playing on my mind (tips to stop thinking about it would be great). I read some brilliant tips on the main page here and will definitely try the stretching (I already do yoga).

Really hoping this settles down soon.
