Advice on Anal Contractions

Hello all, I am fairly inexperienced with this and sometimes (not often) I am using my fingers and my anal sphincter begins to contract. From what I read this is a good sign right? However the issue I am having is that it's nearly impossible for me to continue my rhythm. I am using lube, but can't repeatedly tap on the prostate anymore because everything is so tight. Any advice?
