I just got my RALP scheduled for 11/11. I’m relatively young 50s and have a satisfying sex life and no noticeable classic PCa symptoms like weak stream, dibble, weak ejaculation. Nonetheless, biopsy indicated PCa (Gleason 7) so I’m moving forward with RALP; though I’m petrified about consequences of losing a nerve bundle or both! In effort to control what I can control, I’d appreciate hearing what you did 4-6 weeks prior to your RALP to improve your chances of a favorable outcome. My surgeon recommended kegels/ strength pelvic floor to help with post op. I’m also wondering about supplements to take now to help improve the surgery outcome. (e.g. reduce inflammation? reduce prostate size? Improve blood flow? Anything to help make the nerve bundles separate from the prostate so they can be spared?)
