I had an mri done of my prostate. Went to urologist and usually at my age (38) they don’t feel the need for a MRI. However I’m positive for two genes that are prone to Cancers (BRCA2 and DICER1) so they ordered the scan. I expected nothing from the exam but it came back showing a lesion with PI-RADS4. My PSA seems normal though. The doctor ordered a biopsy. Should I be worried - the tone I’m getting from the doctors is that PI-RADS4 has a high probability to be prostate cancer. But just wondering if anyone’s had similar experiences where there PSA was normal, they were in a sense on the younger side, however their lesion tells a different story. I know I could wait for the biopsy results before jumping to conclusions but it’s not until a few weeks and my mind is just jumping all over the place. Need at least some peace of mind.
