I had a targeted prostate biopsy at Princess Margaret - performed by Dr Basso Dias. So 5 plus 12 . I got a lotta punctures in prostate - 41 now from 3 biopsies . Went better than the last 2 biopsies ; done at other locations. Much higher tech procedure at PMH. Artemis MRI/Ultrasound Fusion Biopsy U/S mapped against MRI. I had taken Aleve and Ibuprofin the night before . ( pain in wrist from another procedure , couldn't sleep ) . The screeners at PMH were concerned and the Dr said there was an increase in bleeding . I queried the trans rectal vs the trans perineal biopsy. Dr said, Either are accurate in accessing my anterior tumour. Some risk of hitting the urethra .Post procedure , some discomfort. Minimal blood in urine . 24 hours later. Pooped , Working good . No pain , no infection. Next test - sex - in 2 days : )
