Incontinence post robotic surgery

Dad is 2 weeks post robotic surgery, catheter removed on Monday and experiencing the incontinence. He has urgency that at times makes him even run to the bathroom. Any other similar experiences? He is of course wearing a pad that catches leakage but I feel terrible. I know it’s a part of the process but someone please tell me it gets better. The surgery was very successful and he’s recovered wonderfully otherwise. Any input is appreciated right now.
