Hi all. Texas property manager seeking advise for a friend In Florida. She is separating from her abusive boyfriend who was never on her lease and never an authorized occupant through building management. The boyfriend would not leave so she called the police and was informed that since he has stayed at the apartment for more then 14 days that he has residency and although he is threatening her and it’s her apartment, full of her property, they can not deny entry. She was told she would have to issue a him a 3 day notice to vacate and file eviction on him, which will cost her about a $1k total. Is there anyway around this? All advise appreciated.
