During my time in the Texas Air national guard with the 149th Fighter Wing, I was trained in F-16 support operations. Through my training at the F-16 Intelligence Formal Training Unit at Luke AFB. I learned the capabilities and limitations of the F-16 as well as threat knowledge and personnel recovery for mission planning. At my squadron, I assisted in the preparation and administration of mission planning for student pilots. I maintained and updated pilot training materials and assisted student pilots on gathering information for training exercises and deployments. Part of my duties was to maintain the classified intel library electronically and physically in the squadron and the security management of intel library materials and resources. I organized, prepared, and disseminated important classified and controlled unclassified documents and information for pilots and support personnel. Destroyed and disposed of obsolete classified materials according to each material’s regulations and policies. In support of the wing personnel, I researched information about forward deployment areas for their pre-deployment briefings consisting of detailed information about local laws, cultural expectations, and security safety measures within the areas. As I became more proficient in my duties, I aided my superior intel officers in the weekly and daily Current Intelligence Briefing to the Wing and Wing Commander. During mission planning trainings and when requested I gave current intel briefings to squadron personnel.
