Using highlighters to make shimmery body lotion
Post Body

I have a few highlighters I'm trying to pan. The thought of panning them by just using them is way too daunting for me – they're either way too cool-toned for daily use as highlighter or just ridiculous in other ways (I have a rainbow highlighter I bought back when those were trendy), and using them as eyeshadows would take *way* too long since I'm also trying to pan eyeshadows. I had a revelation the other night – if I crushed them up and added them to body lotions, they would make my body skin shimmery! No idea why I didn't think of this before.

I crushed up a small amount of each of them and added it to a small amount of body lotion I had decanted into another container (didn't know if it would mess with the lotion formula and didn't want to ruin my whole bottle of lotion if it did). The lotion is Trader Joe's "A Midsummer's Night Cream", and it didn't seem like the formula was affected at all, fwiw, but I used up the lotion within a few days.

It's not like anyone is seeing my legs right now – it's the middle of winter *and* the middle of a pandemic – but it's fun for me. I also tried it with some pink eyeshadow I was panning – I was hoping it would make my legs a tiny bit less pale white. I don't know how much of a difference it actually made on my skin tone, but it's fun to have brightly-colored lotion!

Has anyone else tried this or something similar?
