Discussion about the Eternity runeword and Revive meme builds
Post Body

I also posted this in the feedback channel of the discord but I thought posting it here also could lead to some fun discussion and ideas so why not. I'd like to hear your opinions!

The runeword Eternity in my opinion is too expensive for what it does considering the weak state of revives in PD2.

As a melee weapon it is almost directly worse than Death which is only a fraction of the cost (5.4 vs. 0.75 HR). The two advantages it brings to the table are Cannot Be Frozen and its Revives/Reanimates.

CBF can ideally be slammed onto boots in PD2, so while it’s nice to have, it isn’t too important to have on a weapon. Revives don’t do much damage, especially when you only get them as a low-level Oskill. Although this isn’t a direct comparison, Blood Raven’s Charge, the Amazon bow that does almost the same thing is worth at most an Ist.

So I must ask myself, is it really worth it to spend 5 HR on some body blockers and CBF? In my opinion, the answer is a resounding no. I wish the price of Eternity was scaled way back to maybe around the 0.5-1 HR range so I could use it in some dumb meme builds and not break my bank. (Enchant summon sorc anyone?) If it’s too powerful at that price then maybe remove the CBF on it. In conjunction with this change it would also be nice to change it to a replenishing charge system kind of like how Blood Raven’s Charge works.

Ps: Also allow Revives to telestomp ok thanks
