Arma Thursday Night Noob. 12:10am GMT. 7:10pm CST/CDT. "Break! Break!" - Comms, chain of command, requesting support. Not required, but if you're in the campaign and can make this, *please* do. 52 people means we need to know this stuff.
Post Body

Edit: This is Thursday night US time. So, Oct. 11 US evening, Oct. 12 early-morning if you're in Europe, April 12 if you're Ollie.

This is useful and relevant for all levels of soldier, from the grunt all the way up.

If you can make it, seriously, please show up. We'll all be hugely appreciative and it'll make the campaign go so much smoother!

In the past week we've seen both sterling examples of how to work together, as well as what happens when there's no organization and things break down. That's fine in a pick-up or JIP-capable game, but let's see if we can get that sorted out before the campaign, rather than during.

Coordinated infantry combat can wait one more week. This ThNN will be so we can nail how to communicate with 50 people in one game and multiple radio nets, as well as who makes which sorts of decisions (we have really good leaders on all levels so this shouldn't be too hard), and how to go up the chain and ask for support.

It doesn't sound glamorous, but like the server stress test last weekend, we need to make sure people know how to do it. So if you can at all make it, please try.

It probably won't be very exciting, but it also shouldn't take very long. I'm thinking we'll mostly just setup some example situations while standing around the runway of how to get in touch with people and how to make things happen or what to do when you get in trouble/need urgent support/your leader goes down/etc.

The first mission features unlimited respawns so we've got a bit of leniency here, but the rest won't. A bit of practice with this will go a long way.
