RoyalRoad: Arrogant Young Master Template A Variation 4

Summary up to chapter 76 by some_moniker (spoilers only towards the end)

A dude gets reincarnated as a "generic bad guy" in a Xianxia Sect. He's the rich, arrogant son of a wealthy Sect Leader, so he becomes very worried that narrative clichés are gonna force some "generic hero" to come along and kill him, due to the sins of his previous self. His family also pays a bunch of hapless henchmen to "protect" him, but they always screw things up and cause him to look Evil. To protect himself, he decides to transition his character from an "Arrogant Young Master Type" into a "Wise, Eccentric Sensei Type," so that he can basically do whatever wants within in the "Narrative" that controls this world, and isn't at risk of being killed by a budding "Hero Type."

As for powers, the body he reincarnates into is a middling cultivator, who thinks he's a once in a generation genius, but is actually just a person that's handed everything in real life. Basically, if he weren't obscenely rich, he wouldn't have made much of a mark on the world. In addition, he has a Reincarnator specific "System" interface, but the System doesn't give him direct advancements. Instead, it basically enables him to become a good teacher, and help others.

Since he's worried about a "goody two shoes" protagonist coming along, he pays super close attention to any downtrodden individuals who luck into crazy potential. When he find some, he gets really scared that he (or his Goons) are gonna cause some unperceived, accidental slight against them, so he starts recruiting them as "disciples," so that he can keep an eye on them.

After manipulating a bunch of naive, god-blessed, apocalypse-causing children into being his human weapons recruiting a bunch of promising "hero-types" as disciples, a bunch of wacky hijinks ensue that make his disciples basically worship him as a selfless individual. He also puts his mistake prone lackeys through a pretty hilarious minion "re-education camp" to teach them to be better servants.

Eventually, he gets drawn into a universe wide battle against Cthulhu-saque devils (or something. I don't remember exactly), and, I think, ends up "sacrificing" himself for the good of his disciples. His Mom also ends up basically being the most powerful person in his world, and she can ascend to higher "planes" or worlds whenever she wants.

I'm sure more happened, but that's my vague recollection of where everything ended. It's honestly probably worth re-reading. In fact, I just re-read it a few months ago, even though I thought it would never get finished. I'm beyond excited it's back!!!
