I've done a lot of reading (a... lot...) but only recently have I started listening to audiobooks for my work commute. And I know somehow a lot of works here get audiobooks. So this is a rec thread specifically for that.
What progressive fantasy works have made for really good audiobooks? Ones where the voice work is really well done, or the work just lends itself well to the audio format. Whatever.
I tend to prefer female MCs but I'll take any recs in here, as long as the audiobook format works for it.
Okay, but maybe no harems. Or Jason Asano, I heard that guy sucks.
It's the best "normal guy gets thrown into a fantasy game" there is. Definitely listen to it.
I disagree. The Hwfwm narrator does too many bad accents, it's like he uses the books as a way to practice his accents. It's not terrible but some of the accents are very annoying.
