I’m a grad student and teach my own courses. This semester I had to deal with too many cases of plagiarism, and now I’m dealing with a student who’s complaining about their grade and filing a grievance (the median grade in my courses is a B, and I’m not a hard grader). This email I just received from a student made me tear up. They worked so hard to improve their English and writing. I just wanted to share because this brightened my (bad) day.
“Dear Professor,
I have just finished my final exams and now I have time to analyze them. Thank You so much for this semester and help you offered me. You were one of the few Professors who spent your own time with me to give me hints and to talk about my notes. I am so grateful! Thank you so much!!! Have a nice holiday and nice students in the future! “
