Working with Technical Writers
Post Body

5 years of PM experience here, almost exclusively in a startup.

I just moved to a larger company and now have a couple of technical writers at my disposal, but am a bit confused as to how to utilize them. We primarily deal with consumer data and manage multiple API integrations.

We don't maintain our own API documentation and at the moment, the technical writers are essentially just documenting our customer's API Documentation (documenting documentation!). I see absolutely no value in this. No one references it.

How should I be leveraging them? How have you worked with technical writers?
