Help with analytic tools for a new gaming studio

Post Body

After working in product management in mobile gaming for almost a decade, I've landed my dream role as the head of a new gaming studio at a company looking to expand into the mobile B2C market, which currently focuses on iGaming products.

I have experience with various analytic tools, such as Looker and Tableau, but I want to gain a better understanding of the popular tracking tools in the market (e.g., Google Analytics, Game Analytics) and the popular dashboarding tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, MixPanel). Although we will soon recruit a Head of Game Analytics, it would be beneficial to have this knowledge beforehand as we decide, in collaboration with the technical leads, which tools to utilize. It would also be helpful to understand any technical considerations, such as which tools work best with AWS and Unity.

I haven't transitioned to tech/platform, still in gaming, just in a more senior role.

When I was in different job hunts, many would approach me for tech-related product roles, but it was due to my prior experience as an engineer.

This is comprehensive, thank you!

I'm familiar with both Apps Flyer for UA and Crashlytics for crashes, who would you say are their biggest competitors, respectively?

For game-level analytics, are all solutions end-to-end including tracking and visualization? I wouldn't want to start with Google Analytics and then reinvest in changing to a better solution.
