5 1/2 Hours to take a 30 minute exam.
I am using a school provided laptop dedicated to my education. No special applications. The absolute incompetence shown by every proctor and tech I talked to is astounding. Every time it is a different issue. Every tech immediately wants to pass me off to the next proctor so they can tell me to restart my perfectly functioning computer. Connect to proctor>some random new issue>pass me off to tech>restart computer>pass me back to new proctor> rinse and repeat. The amount of access I had to give people I don't know in a different country is astonishing.
Every connection attempt completely crippled my laptop and made it perform as if it was 12 years older. They have the audacity to say "I need to attempt the exam again when I have functioning equipment" as if they aren't the ones connecting with their ancient malware across the world. Out of all my classes and assignments, dealing with ProctorU made me want to quit school the most. I wish I had a better vocabulary to describe my level of absolute disdain for them.
OMG, their ācustomer serviceā is the WORST! Iām taking an online class now dreading to take the exams when they come because years ago I took a Business Class and it was a NIGHTMARE! I flat out told my instructor I will ONLY take the test if he printed it out and I took it on campus, I know. A VERY bold request since IāM the one needing to pass the class but he allowed it.
My most recent experience the oversea tech asked for my ip address for full access to my laptop, I refused and found this Sub and found my answer.
