Just wondering - the market for golf is quite big and people are crazy about golf, as evidenced by packed courses morning to evening, ever increasing prices to play and for equipment. There is a willingness to pay.
The Canadian Open is always sold out, fans love it, sponsors love it - and I am sure there are other large Canadian firms that would sponsor a major event.
Also, since the country is so big and has great courses on / near both coasts, why not offer at least two. Both would be sold out.
It would seem logical to offer more than just the Canadian Open and the 3rd league type PGA Tour Canada. Even Mexico got a WGC at one point in addition to other PGA Tour events.
Looking forward to your thoughts and insights.
