Most people have been kik because you don’t have to share your phone number, just an account name and you can send photos and videos to show who you are/what you look like. Unfortunately kik sold and is cluttered with ads and sucks now.

Signal and telegram require phone numbers. You don’t want to give your phone number away in this community to strangers. Obvious reasons.

What other apps are there that are relatively easy to use that you don’t have to share a phone number to start texting? If there were phone/video features as well to call people, that would be fantastic as well. Even better for multi device support
