Anyone here done time in a prison for young men or women specifically? They call them different things different states. Here in Ohio it was 21 and under prison Ohio Dys (219956 is my dy number ) . In Florida it’s jit camps 24 and under and in Cali they have Youth authority I heard. I want to hear anything from anyone who did time in a prison like what I was in 21 and under. It’s been over half a decade and I rarely ever hear many stories about Youth prison . From my experience, the juvenile side was more unruly/ violent than adult. Adult lock up is more organized. Fun fact . There are only three Ohio Dys facilities still open today in Ohio . I’m not sure how many JDCs or Youth Treatment centers there are. I also did a residential program at one jdc for substance abuse. The entire stay was based on completely finishing the “program” it was a “no contact “ facility .
