I’m in New Zealand and I haven’t been able to find a local PCB prototyping service, so the option is to use an offshore manufactorer, but shipping takes 7 days, so I’m keen to build a small PCB fab next to my electronics bench so I can manufacture prototype boards. I see there are a few ways to do it / laser printer transfer ( chemical etching) / laser engraving machine ( chemical etching) / a cnc milling machine (doesnt require chemicals?). If I’m optimising for quick manufacture, small scale (we’ll only be generating very low numbers of boards) and ease of clean up, what would be your recommended equipment / technique? I work inside an office and don’t have a fume hood. I will be doing SMD stuff and only ocassionally through hole. I may need to be able to do dual layer. I’m able to spend up to $5k.
