Best way to purchase drink package onboard?

I have $200 on board credit. I would like to use this toward a drink package. I don't believe that I can access the on board credit until I am actually on board the ship. If I am wrong about that please correct me.
I would like to buy the drink package as soon as I board. I would like to avoid standing in line at Guest Services. What is the best way to buy the drink package once I board the ship?
