Have We Already Had an LGBT President?
Post Body

Of our 46 Presidents, all 46 have supposedly been heterosexual. However, only three have presided over a United States that openly accepted homosexuality, meaning most presidents would not have been free to come out of the closet, had they ever been in it to begin with.

There is some significant evidence that James Buchanan, known as a lifelong bachelor, was possibly gay. He lived for more than a decade with his close personal friend, and future Vice President, William Rufus King. Andrew Jackson was known to have referred to the pair as “Miss Nancy” and “Aunt Fancy.”

Abraham Lincoln shared a bed with several close male friends and roommates for years, in his young adulthood, and his relationship with Joshua Speed, in particular, has raised the idea he may have been bisexual.
